About
Los Angeles-based artist uses technology to blend mark making, street photography and collage in generative, iterative collections. Mark making influences include Gerhard Richter, Cecily Brown, Nancy Cahill, Mark Bradford, Flora Yukhnovich, Francis Bacon, David Salle, Edward Burtynsky, Christine Ay Tjoe, Sarah Sze, William Kentridge, Julie Mehretu, Philip Buller and Taryn Simon (among many others).
SLWLRNR works use a variety of analog and digital methods. Our process begins with investigating and transforming the texture of brushstrokes into unique mark making. We then replicate and randomize that mark making while tautly controlling and curating output from seemingly random generative techniques. We then remix using collage to ground the abstractions in reminders of our physical world and artifacts.
Our contemporary artworks are designed to be purchased individually for private residences or for interior designers and hotels. All works are printed on either metal or canvas and can be purchased ready to hang or on rolled prints.
Our fabrication and delivery timeline is typically about three weeks. Volume orders and appropriate discounts are available for institutions.
